Press Release Body = On November 20th, Delphi Academy of Los Angeles walked away
from the 2005 Ultimate State Cheer and Dance Championships of California with the
4th place trophy in the Youth Funk/Hip-Hop Division.

This was the first time students from Delphi Academy of Los Angeles have qualified
to compete at this level. The students were Danica Brown, Adrianna Espinosa, Cody
Hamilton, Monica Jordan, Dia Laverdiere, Cyrus Mohammadi, Danielle Fisher-Shin,
Corrine Smith, Chloe Trevor and Alison Wilson. They were coached by Delphi Academy
faculty members Ferris Stith and Tesa Riggs. This ten-student, co-ed dance team had
been preparing intensively since school began in September as part of a
co-curricular dance class, having performed as a team only once earlier in the year
as part of the Fiesta Days Entertainment at La Canada High School in May.

The level of competition at the Championships was fierce with only 2 points
separating 3rd and 4th place, and only 18 points separating 1st and 4th. The Delphi
Academy students had a great time, and they are excited about competing again next
year.

Dia Laverdiere of Los Angeles, age 10, had this to say after the competition, \"I
really liked being part of the team and having so much fun performing in front of so
many people. I was excited, but not nervous at all, because we had such a great
teacher and such a great dance. Our teacher, Ferris, is the best choreographer, and
she always helped us keep focused. If I hadn\'t come to Delphi, I would never have
had this great experience.\"

Tesa Riggs, co-director of the dance team, said \"I am so proud of
our kids. They were the only Elementary School-aged group from Southern California
and because of their outstanding professionalism and sportsmanship were able to
place 4th in our category, not just because of their talent. They performed before
7,000 plus people in the San Jose Convention Center and really showed what it meant
to be team players. They really showed they could apply what they have learned at
Delphi about manners and professionalism and standards, and I couldn\'t be prouder!\"
